Over the last month or so my other site has had it's issues with two different servers causing me to have to redo my site several times and because of that, some members have decided not to return or perhaps it's just summer and they are out enjoying time with their family and friends.  So since membership has declined and even though some have signed back up, most are no longer using the web cam chat rooms, I am seriously thinking of going a completely different way than the way the site is at this time.

Here are my thoughts.

Amount of revenue I make from the current site from it's members: $0

Amount of time I put into making the site run in a seven day period: 80+ hours

Amount of time I spend getting to know each and every person who joins: Infinite

Amount of times I've been thanked for the free service I've been offering: Maybe 20 people over the last 2 years

Amount of times I've had to deal with situations due to problem chatters on my site:  1000's

Amount of times I've had people complain about the free service:  1000's

So why do I do this?  Crazy perhaps.  As a matter of fact, no, while I think about it yes indeed I must be crazy to do this for people who I do not know and for which I receive absolutely nothing in return.  I used to think that perhaps people appreciated having a free adult web cam chat site while so many were charging for membership.  I have never asked the members to pay for the servers yet a few stepped up and said I'll do what ever I can and they did.  Those same people are the very same ones who say thanks for the work.  Funny people who use the site for free rarely have.

What the site may become:

There are a ton of adult web cam chat sites out there so mine won't be missed and actually may be welcomed by more than a few haters out there.  My dream site has always been to make one for those who need somewhere to go and talk and get help if they need it.  A site full of a ton of helpful information from 13 years of age on upwards.  A place where you can come to chat with a peer councellor one on one at any time of the day or night....we'd be there when YOU need us.  A place where there are guest speakers who come in and talk about life's everyday hard subjects like pregnancy, sex in general, abuse of any kind or even how to fix your own computer.  A safe haven in the world where you can come and just talk to your friends without worry of anyone being creepy.  A place filled with everyday people who appreciate having a free place to come and kick back with your friends.  That's my dream.

Whether or not I change the format at this point is completely up to the users of the current site.  Either you use it or you don't.  If you don't, then I will change the site to what I envision it to be and start fresh after two years in September 2011.  I've heard from people who say 'I'm your friend' "I care" "I love your site" etc etc etc but I'm not going to waste my time chasing around people who have better things to do.  Guess what?  So do I.

So we'll see what happens in the next week or so but if there is still the steady decrease in site users, I will change my site to what I think will be a much better appreciated site reflecting my idea that what the world needs is love and support.  Maybe the members leaving or not using the site is a blessing in disguise.  It sure would be nice to finally feel like all my hard work is appreciated instead of hearing one more complaint from someone who just uses the site.  We'll see.

I am sorry Bewy. You and I have had this discussion MANY time. And it has always been YOU telling ME not to give up. But I do support you in whatever you decide. But personally I have given up on my site, it is avoided like the plague.The first person who ask ME to follow them to Sarah's will get a frakin ear full too....... lmfao.

I will be on a lot starting today (Sunday) - we had a shit load of granny issues and other things to take care of this last week. But I will come babysit the malcontents this next week, as there is NO REASON for me to be on my site - LMFAO........

I am personally done dropping the thousands of dollars I put into my site this last year, and the copious hours.

Talk to me as soon as you can... I do ask that you don't give up. These people are not worth it... your dream is more important....

The other take is to consider this:

1. if it's a pay site many will leave, as they have no or little income, or plain do not want to spend the money

2. If we keep our sites FREE, no one will come as "It is NOT A REAL CHAT site" - lmao

what we need is to find intelligent, well mannered, social, and concerned humans to come to the sites.

Know where we can recruit these people???
